Karen Rickards
Karen started out in the perioperative arena as an orthopaedic trauma nurse. She worked as Clinical Director, Diagnostics and Mobile Services for Nuffield Health form 2003 to January 2009, leading on integrated governance and quality for Radiology, Pathology and mobile theatres. Karen is currently working as a healthcare consultant with the South Birmingham Commissioning PCT as Head of Governance this includes agreeing clinical standards and metrics for all health providers in the South Birmingham area.
Karen chairs the Governance Committee and represents AfPP as an Executive Officer on the EORNA board. Karen enjoys cycling, running and is learning to play tennis.
