Stephanie Freeman
Qualifying as an ENG in January 1984, Stephanie took up her first role in theatres at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth in 1985. After working in the preioperative environment for two years, Stephanie passed the ENB 188 operating theatre nursing course and completed the conversion course to RGN in 1997. Since then she has worked in many varied surgical specialities and settings in the South West of England. Stephanie is currently working at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital in Dorset where she is undertaking training to become a nurse colposcopist. She also works as theatre sister at the Wentworth Clinic in Bournemouth which specialises in facial surgery. Stephanie first became involved with NATN as a committee member of the Brunel Branch, was a helper at Congress for three years and then became Membership and then Team Lead for the South West Region in 2005, following a move to Dorset. Stephanie was also a member of the Governance Committee up until taking her role as Trustee in July 2009.
