Tracy is currently working as an independent consultant following the closure and restructure of the NPSA under the NHS commissioning board where, from July 2008, her role was Anaesthetic Lead.
Tracy has been involved in the anaesthetic project ‘improvement through partnership’ and is now working on a variety of initiatives to improve patient safety. She continues to sit on key safety committees at a national level including the Safer Anaesthesia Liaison Group (SALG) and the Clinical Board for Surgical Safety (CBSS) representing AfPP. Previously Tracy has worked in the perioperative environment, in anaesthetics and recovery for 20+ years undertaking a variety of roles in management, education and finally as a matron in perioperative care. Tracy’s term of office as President of the Association runs until October 2012 – until then she continues to work hard with the Board, HQ and members to promote and ensure a robust strategy for the development of this unique organisation in the interests of perioperative practice and education for members and ultimately patient care. Tracy lives in Peterborough with her husband Lee and two teenage daughters. | |
