Mona Fisher

Elected as a Trustee in August 2010. Mona has been involved in the delivery of perioperative services for over 30 years and has worked in a variety of settings from major teaching hospitals in the NHS to multi-specialty theatres in the private sector, and currently as an independent consultant. She has direct experience of many surgical disciplines including major trauma and burns, orthopaedics, vascular, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic and reconstructive cosmetic surgery and has held leadership roles in a variety of perioperative process improvement projects.
Mona is one of a small number of registered safety practitioners working in the healthcare sector and has corporate membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
She says ‘I have committed my entire career to ensuring the delivery of safe and best practice healthcare which supports equally patients and staff’.
