Book - Risk and Quality Management System

All healthcare organisations aim to promote and improve the quality of healthcare delivered to patients. The aim of the AfPP Risk and Quality Management System publication is an audit tool which is able to comprehensively assess risk and the quality of care administered within any perioperative setting. The publication is divided into two sections:

1. Quality Assessment Document

2. Risk Assessment Guidelines

The emphasis of the Risk Assessment Guidelines is on risk management in perioperative practice and can be used either on it own or in tandem with the Quality Assessment Document, where the emphasis is on direct patient care. Revised and updated this audit tool has the potential to advance patient care in the perioperative environment and other areas through regular audit and to demonstrate that the care provided is of a high standard. The whole document is in a ring binder and has around 140 pages of information, helpful checklists and detailed forms to complete.
