240 UCAS points including 2 A levels of grade C or above/equivalent.
Students are offered a place subject to a satisfactory health clearance and a Criminal Records Bureau check.

Comments:

The course is modular with six modules being undertaken at each academic level. This is divided into profession specific and interprofessinal modules. The profession specific modules support the development of key concepts and theories relevant to clinical operating department practice, including annaesthesia care, surgical care and post anaesthetic (recovery) care.

BSc (Hons) in Operating Department Practice

This programme is delivered as a Pathway within the Pre-registration Interprofessional Learning Programme and students will receive an Interprofessional learning approach throughout the programme. The taught component of the pathway is delivered at the Medway Campus, where there are state of the art teaching facilities for health professionals. These include a fully equipped simulated operating theatre and scrub room which enable students to integrate theory and clinical practice learning.
