Plase note that the course fee for 2010/2011 session has nto yet been set. There will be an increase on teh 2009/10 session (detailed below.) As soon as the fees are set the Cardiff University 'course finder' area will be updated.
There will be a fee of approximately £2755 for Stage 1A and thre will be a fee of approximately £2775 fro stage 1B. There is no fee for stage 2 (dissertation stage). The total cost of the course is £5510.
Assessment: E-learning assessments - evidence based reviews, online case study contributions, research protocols, business plans & guidelines for practice
Credits/Level: Modules are 20 credits each and the dissertation is 60 credits
Comments: The student will be awarded a "Master of Science Degree in Pain Management" if he or she obtains 50% and above for the module assignments and at least a 50% pass in the dissertation. The course team offer support Mon-Fri by email, telephone and online discussion boards. Witin each module students are asssessed with written assignments and online group work. Assignment plans are comulsory with 5% of the module mark awarded for each. There are no residential components or writen examinations to attend so there would be no need for you to travel to Cardiff UNnversity for course purposes.

The student will be expected to submit and pass:- Three modular assessments for the Postgraduate certificate
- Six modular assessments for the Postgraduate Diploma
- Completion of the Diploma and a 20,000 word dissertation for the Master of Science Degree

Module 2: Biopsychosocial Principles in Pain Management
Module 3: Fundamentals of Pain Management including pharmacology
Module 4: Patient Case Studies - Options
Module 5: Clinical Management - Options
