Congress
Our 45th Annual Congress and Exhibition will take place at Harrogate International Centre.
Congress Monday 12th to Thursday 15th October
The programme has a wide range of topics with 3 simultaneous sessions running for 4 days plus workshops for hands-on experience. A draft programme will be available in March 2009.
CPD approved – AfPP Congress sessions meet the Continuing Professional Development needs of perioperative staff registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council and the Health Professions Council. Congress provides over 100 hours of CPD activity with additional learning tasks for your CPD portfolio. Congress also provides a wide range of education activities for non regulated staff who require, either through the KSF or IPRs, evidence for professional development.
Joined-up learning – for AfPP members all COPD activity can be linked to the CPD e-portfolios in the members’ area of the AfPP website. This gives a convenient printable record to evidence your CPD activity to your employer or regulatory body.
A chance to meet – Congress is your chance to meet with other perioperative professionals and representatives of companies at the UK’s largest medical devices exhibition. A packed social calendar and the beauty of Harrogate combine to promise a week filled with learning and excitement. Funding assistance – need help with your Congress fees? Your hospital/organisation may be able to support your attendance by assisting with registration and authorising study leave. Contact your Line Manager for further information.
