Indemnity insurance
The NMC recommends that all perioperative practitioners should have indemnity insurance. AfPP offers indemnity insurance which is available for an additional fee to your AfPP subscription.
The cover is available at two levels. There is a £1 million level of cover and for those who feel themselves to be at a lower level of risk there is the option to purchase insurance up to £500,000 cover.
The £1 million cover costs £63 a year and the lower level of cover costs £31.50 a year.
The statutory documents describing the cover are attached below. To subscribe you will need to complete and return the Declaration Form which can also be downloaded below.
You cannot join the indemnity insurance scheme online.
