Trustee vacancy

Becoming a Trustee is a great challenge that brings with it the opportunity to apply the skills and experience you have gained to a new environment.  Working as part of the AfPP Board can be hugely satisfying and rewarding but it will challenge you and your colleagues.  As a Trustee of AfPP you can help to improve patient care and change the environment within which our members work.  Being involved with AfPP at a very different level will provide you with opportunities to take brave steps to broaden your horizons.

Nominations are sought from eligible candidates who are willing to stand for election to fill the vacancy that will arise in Summer 2017.

If you are interested in joining our dedicated team of Trustees please visit our website for more detailed information together with a nomination form for completion (under the ‘About us’ tab on the AfPP website) or for a hard copy, Stephanie Oates as below.  In accordance with the Association’s Policies and Procedures Manual, you will be required to have your nomination form countersigned by two voting members of the Association.   We will also require a full curriculum vitae accompanied by an election statement of not more than 500 words and a current photograph in electronic format.

After the closing date, each application will be reviewed by the AfPP Nominating Committee who will support all potential candidates through the election process and ensure that the process is conducted in a fair and equitable manner.  The Committee will oversee the process for candidate selection and ensure that each candidate has the required abilities to undertake the role, capacity to maintain commitment and an understanding of the role before commencing the election process.

If you would like to discuss the role and the implications in more detail please contact Stephanie Oates, PA to the Board, who will put you in contact with one of the Trustees currently in office.

All nomination papers must be received at Daisy Ayris House, 42 Freemans Way, Harrogate HG3 1DH by 5pm on Monday 21 August 2017, marked private and confidential, for the attention of Stephanie Oates.
