Objectives:

This study day identifies advances in perioperative technology; how they have transformed practice and extended often disputed boundaries of surgical intervention to give us the vision of the future we have today.

We hear from a surgeon how practice has changed since the early years of the NHS to now include the development of robotic technology and surgical intervention.

This programme will identify how role development can be accessed and achieved in perioperative practice, to enhance workforce planning.

Topics covered include:-

  • Anaesthetics of the future
  • Surgery in the early years of the NHS
  • From big cuts to robotics
  • Professional development in perioperative practice
  • Pain Management

Completing this study day entitles you to 5.25 CPD hours
