What is CPOC?

CPOC is a multidisciplinary initiative to facilitate cross-organisational working on perioperative care for patient benefit.

The initiative was started by the Royal College of Anaesthetists and operates as a partnership between patients and the public, other professional stakeholders including Medical Royal Colleges, NHS England and the equivalent bodies responsible for healthcare in the other UK devolved nations.

Following John’s appointment to the Board, AfPP become the 10th CPOC Partner.

John Dade, AfPP President, said:

AfPP are delighted to be joining this cross-speciality collaboration dedicated to the development and advancement of perioperative care.

“As an organisation we represent the multi-disciplinary workforce within theatres, which makes us a unique addition to the CPOC board. We see our multi-disciplinary approach as a strength that can be shared to support the ongoing cross-organisational work that CPOC undertake for the benefit of the patient.”
