Introducing New Regional Leads

We've been busyrecruiting new team members and we'd like to welsome the following new Regional Leads: Nigel Roberts (West Midlands), Peter Chell (South West) and Angela Losekann (South Central).

Lee Rycroft recently joined us as the new Regional Lead for North West and Veronica Cook joined us as he Regional lead for Trent. We'd like to welcome everyone and we're really looking forward to working with everyone on a range of exciting projects planned throughout 2024.

All the regional lead roles are currently filled but we are always interested in hearing from people who'd like to join one of our regional teams. At the moment we also have a SIG vacancy for Theatre Support Workers an HCAs.

Meanwhile, here's a little bit of info about Lee and Veronica...

Lee Rycroft

With over 17 years’ experience in healthcare, Lee is an advocate for professional development in all aspects of the perioperative environment. He has spent the last decade of his career in theatre management and as a specialist advisor with the regulatory body of England.

More recently, Lee has taken on the role as Group Lead for Theatre Management with a private health care provider. His management expertise is clinical, regulatory, and leadership.  

Lee is very excited by his new role with AfPP, “I feel this is an excellent opportunity to share my passion of professional development, share best practice and ensure the highest standards of patient care.”

Veronica Cook

Beginning her career in 1999 working in the NHS, Veronica has since worked in a variety of roles including as a community dental nurse for adults and children with complex needs. She trained as an ODP in 2004 and at present she is anaesthetic and equipment lead at Northampton General Hospital, concentrating on theatre projects for transformation and sustainability.

When she’s not working, Veronica loves learning new skills which have included: painting, jewellery making and shooting. “I’m not a bad shot with a rifle or a pistol!” she says.
