Approach My Organisation

Providing you with useful tips and support

How to approach your organisation for support

Write a letter: Use the template below or write your own letter highlighting the specific benefits your organisation will enjoy, like improved patient safety, higher staff retention rates, and gaining a reputation for excellence in surgical care. Show how investing in organisation-paid membership can lead to cost savings in the long-run by reducing turnover and boosting surgical efficiency.

Schedule a meeting with your manager: Approach your line manager,  department lead or learning and development manager with your letter. Show how asking for funding for your AfPP membership aligns with their mission of delivering top quality care.

Show your commitment to excellence: Let them know you’re dedicated to growing professionally and providing quality care. Tell your manager that you are taking the initiative to improve your skills and that AfPP membership will give you access to the most up-to-date education.
