The Journal of Perioperative Practice (JPP) is the official journal of the Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP) in partnership with Sage Publishing.  The Journal is an international, peer reviewed publication with a multidisciplinary ethos across all aspects of perioperative care. The overall aim of the Journal is to improve patient safety through informing and developing practice.

It is an informative professional journal which provides current evidence-based practice, clinical, management and educational developments for practitioners working in the perioperative environment.

The Journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

Submit a paper

The Journal provides perioperative professionals with a platform to share their knowledge and expertise with their fellow peers. It also offers students, graduates and postgraduates a place to publisher their research.

Published ten times a year, the Journal is free to AfPP paying members.

Our paying members receive the Journal digitally, but can also chose to opt-in to receive it by post. Members can also download a copy from their member area.

Articles from the JPP can be downloaded from an extensive archive of Journal articles and this facility is also free to paying members.
