Every day, hospital theatre staff across the UK deliver safe care under immense pressure. From ODPs and theatre nurses to scrub staff, anaesthetists, surgeons, recovery teams and support colleagues; your work is complex, critical, and highly skilled.
Yet, until now, there hasn’t been a national moment where all perioperative practitioners can come together, honestly and openly, to share experiences and insight.
That is exactly what The Big Perioperative Natter offers.
This is a live, interactive, one-hour event where participants take part in a series of one-to-one conversations with peers from across the UK. It’s not a webinar, lecture, or survey; it is a safe, private space to discuss the realities of working in operating theatres today: training, workforce wellbeing, teamwork, professional fulfilment, and the pressures shaping everyday practice.
Your voice matters. Every conversation is private, but the themes collected will create a national picture of perioperative practice, helping AfPP and the wider profession understand what matters most and how we can improve support for staff across the UK.
Participation is free and open to all hospital theatre practitioners – you don’t need to be an AfPP member to take part. The more voices involved, the stronger and more representative the collective insight.
Don’t miss this opportunity to be heard. Sign up now
For one hour, the theatre community across the UK will be talking at the same time. I hope you will join us, and encourage your colleagues to do the same, to help shape the future of perioperative practice.
