Opthalmic SIG
The Ophthalmic Specialist Interest Group (SIG) is for those healthcare professionals working in clinics, units and surgical Hubs where Ophthalmic surgery is undertaken.
The Ophthalmic SIG forum provides AfPP members the opportunity to seek advice and information about ophthalmic clinical practice in the perioperative environment for both adults and paediatrics. This virtual community allows members to share their knowledge and best practices, exchange ideas, ask for advice, discuss issues and concerns and engage with like-minded professionals.
More about the SIG Lead
“A lecturer (education) in Adult Nursing in Queen’s University, Belfast, Oonaugh teaches both undergraduate and post graduate nursing courses. She is also the co-ordinator for ophthalmology nursing short course and anaesthetic nursing short course within the University.
With 17 years experience in the perioperative environment covering multiple specialities, Oonaugh has a PgDip specialist practice anaesthetics, MSc in Nursing, BSc in Health Studies, Diploma in Nursing and a PGCHET.
Away from nursing, Oonaugh enjoys Gaelic sports and coaches underage camogie. (No, we had no idea either!). Oonaugh describes it “like a more violent form of hockey!” In the little bit of spare time she has left, she also like to run!”
